ok so i haven't posted anything for a long time now, because i have been so busy on a piece for my portfolio. i decided to do a water color picture of a flower, and it took forever. so now for my portfolio, where i need at least eight pieces i have: a bird drawing (where each contour is filled in with a specific pattern), a building drawing (from a birds eye point of view), a panda drawing (one of my faves, just used pencil), and a still life of two hats (my least favorite, and if i can get nine done before feb. i won't use this one). When we go back to school, tomorrow :( we are working on ballet slippers and for the value we are mixing stippling, hatching, and cross hatching with colored pens. but anyways, here's a picture of my unfinished water color flower.

so i still have to go through the flower and make some minor adjustments, and i have to do the negative space. but i haven't decided if i want to do it was water color, charcol, or just a regular pencil.. water color, i think, wouldn't make the flower pop at all, because it's so dull. charcol would be neat, but i don't know if it would be a good mixture of mediums. if you have any suggestions please let me know :)
